Support Merry Lea
There are many ways to support the mission and operation of Merry Lea. A few possible options are listed below including some current project needs.
Donate to Merry Lea: If you would like more information about making a donation to Merry Lea please contact Luke Gascho at (260) 799-5869 or lukeag@goshen.edu.
Donate On-line: Donations can be made through the Secure Goshen College On-line Donation Page. After you select either "One-time credit card gift" or "Periodic gifts", you will be able to select Merry Lea as gift designation for your donation.
Join Friends of Merry Lea Volunteer at Merry Lea
Current Project Needs:
Council House Project - Merry Lea currently received a $5,000
grant toward building a covered amphitheater like seating area for use with
visiting school children. $1,000 is still needed to cover the cost of
the project. See
details in the October newsletter.
Rieth Village Phase II - Funds are needed for the next phase
of construction for Rieth Village. Rieth
Village is an Ecological Field
Station for undergraduate level studies at Merry Lea. Phase I was awarded
a L.E.E.D.
Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council and has become
a model for sustainable building in Indiana.
Bird Mounts - The education programs at Merry Lea make use of a variety of mounted birds. Several salvaged birds have been donated and are ready to be taxodermied when the funds become available. Recent donations have allowed us to have a Sandhill Crane and Barn Owl mounted.
