Parables Worship Team

The Goshen College student-led worship team, Parables, will use music and drama to worship in congregations and other venues throughout the Midwest this year on the topic of grace.
Parables is directed by Professor of Music Debra Brubaker and includes Molly Kellogg, a sophomore music major from Candor, N.Y.; Scott Kempf, a sophomore peace, justice and conflict studies major from Libertyville, Ill.; Andrea Kraybill, a sophomore art and interdisciplinary major from Elkhart, Ind.; Patrick Ressler, a sophomore music major from Lititz, Pa.; Adriel Santiago, a sophomore communication and theater double major from Souderton, Pa.; Karla Santiago, a junior music education major from Lancaster, Pa.; Allen Shenk, a junior music major from Findlay, Ohio; and Ana Yoder, a sophomore music and Spanish double major from Elkhart, Ind.
"Through our sharing of personal stories, song and creative expression of familiar Bible parables, we hope to invite people into closer relationship with God," said Kraybill.
The program this year will also include an original drama and a unique performance that includes chimes, saxophone, piano, French horn and interpretive movement.
"Besides the joy of creating music and drama with such a fun collection of people, the actual performances really seem worshipful to me," Kraybill said. "At every instance, I will hear the message we tell and the message that God speaks to us all, in a fresh way."
