If your scores and grade point are lower than the averages below, don't be alarmed; remember these are averages. We strongly encourage you to apply, as we consider each applicant on an individual basis taking into consideration classes, extracurricular activities, recommendations, and your personal promise. Proof of English language skill

International students gather for a group graduation photo! For students for whom English is not your first language, GC requires a score of at least 550 (213 on computer-based TOEFL), or C or higher on the G.C.E. English language exam. Ask TOEFL to send a score report directly to Goshen College. The institutional code is 1251.

If your score is less than 550 (213 on computer-based TOEFL) you should request information on intensive English language programs.

For students with a TOEFL score below 550 (213 on the computer-based TOEFL), we recommend the following ESL programs with which Goshen College has cooperative admission arrangements. Goshen College can issue a conditional 1-20 which would admit a student to the cooperating English program and then into Goshen College for regular collegiate studies upon reaching a satisfactory level of English skill. See also the resources for international students page.
