First-year student application requirements
 |
Print and complete the top portion of
the Guidance
Counselor Form (.pdf). Ask your high
school principal or guidance counselor to complete this
form and mail the form and your official high school
transcript to Goshen College |

Take the English SAT or ACT test and have
scores sent to Goshen College |
 |
If English is your second language, Ask
TOEFL to send a certified copy* of your score
report directly to Goshen College. Or, enroll in an
intensive English language program. More
about the TOEFL requirement. |

Print and complete the top portion of the Personal
Reference Form (.pdf). Give the form
to a teacher, pastor, church youth group sponsor or
community leader and ask them to return it to the admission office at Goshen College. |

Home school students
In addition to the above 'First-year Student' application
requirements, you must also complete the following:
 |
Instead of a high school transcript
you may provide GED scores if possible. Many states
do not allow students to take the GED scores until
they are a least 18 years old. |
 |
Provide a portfolio of information which
may include: curricula for grades 9 through 12; texts,
reading lists, graded papers and tests; teacher evaluations;
grades and any normed tests; credentials of the teachers;
and a writing sample. |

Canadian students
In addition to the above first-year student application
requirements, you must also complete the following:

Complete the 'First-year student' requirements
above. |
 |
In addition, applicants (except those
from Ontario and British Columbia) who have completed
any senior matriculation requirements should request
the Provincial Office of Education to send Goshen College
a transcript of the final grades of your pre-university
year. |
 |
Ontario students completing OAC's or other
students completing senior matriculation requirements
should have a report of the projected final marks sent
from the guidance counselor as early as mid to late
May. |
 |
SAT/ ACT scores are not required unless
you anticipate participating in intercollegiate sports. |
 |
You will receive a "Canadian Exchange
Discount" for tuition, room and board based on
the current exchange rate. This has the effect of letting
Canadian students pay these fees using Canadian dollars. |

Transfer students
 |
Complete a Goshen College application
for admission. |
 |
Send a $25 application fee to Goshen College |
 |
Ask the dean of students at the college
most recently attended to complete the College
Reference for Transfer Students Form (.pdf)
and send it to Goshen College, indicating no suspensions,
disqualification or disciplinary problems (verifying
that you are eligible to return and in good standing). |

Ask your high school principal or guidance
counselor to send your official high school transcript
to Goshen College. |
 |
If you are 23 or younger, send ACT or
SAT scores to Goshen College (this is often included
in your high school transcript). |

Ask the registrar of each college or university
you have attended to mail your official transcripts
to Goshen College, verifying a cumulative grade-point-average
of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in all prior college work. |

If English is your second language, scores from the
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are required
for admission, unless you have completed more than two
years of full-time accredited college study in the United
States. |

**Students qualify for higher scholarship
stipends and more need based aid if they apply by the
March 1 priority application date. |

Part-time students
 |
Part-time students should follow instructions
listed for first-year and transfer students (above). |

Exception: Goshen College does not require
a personal reference or SAT/ACT scores for part-time
students. |

Readmitted students
 |
Complete a Goshen College application
for admission. |
